Banks using ChecksNet to open new accounts

By phone, Bank Representative types customer information into form on your secure internet or intranet website. Click SEND when completed. Customer email address required only if you want customer to receive an acknowledgement email of the transaction. Note: Template for creating this web form is included with ChecksNet, along with the Perl file to process the form. If you do not have an IT person familiar with editing javascript or dealing with Perl, you should purchase our webFREE Software which builds this form page (writes the javascript for you).
Transaction data is sent as encoded email to person who will print bank draft.

You determine recipient by designating their email address and the Subject Line in the Email Receiver portion of ChecksNet.
Auto Mail can automatically check for new drafts when you open it, or leave it open and set it to check every minute, 5 minutes, etc.
When popup appears and new draft information is listed click Print Drafts.

Note: Every record will show exact date, time and sender. All mail records are stored in a separate database within ChecksNet (in case you ever need to know who/what/when where it came from).

Print Draft window appears automatically. If you don't have a need to view individual drafts or make changes, simply highlight draft record(s) by Pressing Ctrl+P as you mouseover the record or mouseover top and bottom records you wish to highlight & print.
Make sure you have CheckForms in your laser printer, click Print button.

If you have selected a group to print, they will be printed 3 per page (3 different customer drafts). If you prefer a draft to deposit, a file copy and a customer copy of each, select 3 Copy before you click Print. When you use 3 Copy, the top 1/3 of printed sheet will be the draft you deposit, center is file copy, bottom is customer copy. File and customer copies will say COPY - NON-NEGOTIABLE in large bold letters so they can't be deposited or confused.

Bad Routing Codes.
An incorrect code can cause a check or bank draft to bounce. Every USA bank is assigned a 9 digit routing code to comply with ABA and Federal Reserve requirements. Every USA routing code is based on the same Alogrithm. This formula is built into ChecksNet which we call the Bank Validator. If it detects a "bad routing code" that number appears in RED in the Print Drafts window. If someone manually enters a "bad routing code" in the Main Window, a pop-up warning appears.

Editing records now or later. You can make changes before or after you print a draft. Every record remains in the ChecksNet Drafts database unless you manually delete it. ChecksNet can store an unlimited number of records. You can sort or search for specific records 7 different ways. The example above is a screen capture of the Main Window in ChecksNet where you can view, edit, duplicate or delete records.
Example above shows all Field Names and locations that can be printed on bank drafts. You can choose which fields PRINT or DON'T PRINT on actual drafts. This allows you to gather or enter confidential data that only your personnel will view. In the Styles Mode of ChecksNet you can move every field so things print in the location(s) you prefer. Printed drafts can also include Security Watermarks, bank logo, photos, etc. Note: Fields outlined in YELLOW are Required (record can't be saved or printed without them). Fields in ORANGE are created automatically as check/draft number and numerical dollar amount is entered. "This draft is pre-authorized by your accountholder" is automatically printed. No other legal wording is required to make this a 100% legal bank draft.

ChecksNet is designed to print all bank drafts on business-size ChecksForms that are 8.5" wide by 3.5" high (3/page with 1/2" scrap strip at bottom). We can supply you with forms that have shaded blue or grey backgrounds. Other colors are available as custom orders.

Using ChecksNet in network environment

Every server or workstation that will be printing bank drafts or retrieving data requires a separate installation of ChecksNet. Users can share one common database on a mapped drive or use separate databases.
Installing on a mapped network drive requires purchase of ChecksNet Network Pro Edition. Our Single-User Edition only installs as C:\Program Files\Checks10 folder. Network edition can be installed on any drive, using any folder name(s) you designate such as F:\Drafts77 or M:\Payments. Network edition can be installed multiple times on one drive if you wish to segregate data such as F:\Pays2003 and F:\Pays2004 folders.

Hardware and software requirements:
  • 20MB of hard drive space for each ChecksNet installation
  • Microsoft Windows 98, NT, 2000, ME, or XP
  • Laser printed with a magnetic (MICR) toner cartridge (we supply these at discounted prices if needed)
Additional requirements for computers or workstations for accessing common database:

  • Common drive or ability to "map" a common drive
  • Ability to install ChecksNet Software on each computer or workstation
Security

Each installation of ChecksNet can be individually password protected. WARNING: If personalized password is lost or stolen, software must be re-installed on that computer. We do not have a "back door" built into ChecksNet. There may be a way to restore the data itself but we only provide that information to the person(s) who are registered licensed users. Law enforcement agencies may obtain this data only after we receive an appropriate written request or court order.
